If he doesn’t get the lead though, and the pace is slow, Gomez will be able to stay closer with Dunkirk. I would suspect he’s too smart to get fooled into being too far back in a slow pace.

I think Quality Road will lay 2nd or 3rd, perhaps behind Europe and Casey’s On Call and sweep to the lead on the far turn. The weight and distance should soften him up just enough though for Dunkirk to pass him though in the stretch. I sure hope he wins. It would be a shame if we didn’t get to see him in Kentucky!
