Lookin at Lucky is a son of Smart Strike, as was Curlin and I never go against Curlin’s “kin” when it doesn’t seem hopeless. Like I said on my blog: “it’s all in the family!” (: He seems extremely mature the way he wins his races and I don’t think the 13 hole is going to be a problem for him. The one horse I’m really high on in here besides Lookin at Lucky is Eskendereya. He’s gorgeous, super athletic, and won impressively last out. He’s also inexperianced, but could be talented enough to handle the field.

He did look good – I caught that workout as well. Truth be told, I’m just coming up a bit more chalky than even I like (for BC weekend, that is), and need to try and beat a favorite somewhere.

I happen to catch Lucky’s work on TV this week. He looked great. He already looks like a 3 yr old. I think he will run a big race Saturday.
