In the horse racing world there is a ton of information and different systems available to improve handicapping. Throughout years of reading and research the only true way to become very successful at handicapping boils down to 3 key principles. With knowledge, the ability to adapt to different situations, and discipline to do the work spending time on your selections you will dominate any track you come across. There are so many factors that can affect any given race that some races you can look at a hundred different times and still be dumbfounded.

Hey Big Man--We need your thoughts on the Tim Ice situation losing Summer Bird and his other horses when the owner pulled them away.
You met both the owners of Summer Bird and Ice---whats the scoop?? We need to hear it from the Big Man.

Donn Handicap:

I know that Quality Road will be tough to beat, but i just CAN'T key a 2-5 shot on top. I'm going to key KISS THE KID for 2nd, and throw DELIGHTFUL KISS on top. Really no reason, except i think he is the 2nd best horse in the field.

QR, DK/KTK/QR,DM,KTK

Lewis:

I've gone insane as i think that TANGO TANGO will pull a massive upset by sitting just off the speed duel and just hold off AMERICAN LION.

I also like EVENING JEWEL in the Las Virgenes and HEAVENLY (something) in the Strub in an exacta box with MISREMEMBERED

Steve - I feel the exact same way. I'm a Rams fan, but have always had a soft spot for all underdogs. I'd love to see the Saints win this thing for New Orleans, but it should be the Colts. I agree with what you say about the Vikes game as well. I think Brees will play well on Sunday, but their chances will totally depend on their defense to keep Manning in check. I don't think that can happen. Saints would need a perfect storm of going up early AND keeping Manning from doing his thing. It's more likely that Manning picks apart the Saints and the Colts defense is the one that comes up big.

One interesting factor to consider though - the Saints might win the rushing battle, and if they win it big - that could be a key factor. That's why I'm thinking it'll be "close", but I'd take Manning by a TD as well.
