In the horse racing world there is a ton of information and different systems available to improve handicapping. Throughout years of reading and research the only true way to become very successful at handicapping boils down to 3 key principles. With knowledge, the ability to adapt to different situations, and discipline to do the work spending time on your selections you will dominate any track you come across. There are so many factors that can affect any given race that some races you can look at a hundred different times and still be dumbfounded.

although i appreciate your zeal and wishing to add lustre/brio to the duel between Zenyatta v. Rachel – to quote the ‘St. Crispen’s Day’ speech by Hank is to me anyway “a-cursed” that MASTER SHAKESPEARE’s stirring words/entreaty to patriotism/duty/honour – was/is used so cheaply. the race is the thing – that stirs the consciences of us all – both commoners and kings. ZENYATTA v. RACHEL NEEDS NO FURTHER HYPE.

I was just about to ask you how excited you were about Odysseus running today. It’s a pretty tough field lined up against him. If he wins the Tampa Bay Derby, his status will fly up on the Derby watch lists. I love the mystique surrounding this guy; I hope he proves us right!

P.S. I love your term “Pletchered.” Yeah, I’ve totally been Pletchered at least twice this trail so far! Eskendereya is my most embarrassing example…
